CSI Invitational 8-Ball Championship Matches Released on YouTube

CueSports International, Henderson, Nevada (January 27, 2015) – CSI is pleased to announce that the 2014 CSI Invitational 8-Ball Championship matches have been released on the CSI YouTube channel. Fifteen (15) matches featuring some of the best players in the world, all filmed in the Predator Arena, can be viewed in their entirety absolutely free! The format consisted of four groups of four players each competing in a round robin format. Each group contained one player from each region – North America, Europe, Philippines, and Taiwan. The top finisher from each group moved into a single elimination finals bracket. Derby City Classic 2015

Wenn man in diesen Tagen die Pool Billard Fans nach einer Veranstaltung mit dem höchsten Unterhaltungswert fragt, werden die meisten das Derby City Classic nennen. Diese Pool Billard Veranstaltung findet zum 17. mal statt und wird auch dieses Jahr wieder für spektakuläre Pool Billard Unterhaltung sorgen. In der Zeit vom 23. – 31. Januar 2015 wird das Derby City Classic wie bereits in den Jahren zuvor im Horseshoe Casino in Elizabeth, Indiana/USA ausgetragen. In diesen 9 Tagen geht es beim DCC nur um eines, nämlich um Pool Billard Action auf höchstem Niveau. Es gibt zig Events, einige davon sind One Pocket, 9 Ball Bank, 9 Ball und die Straight Pool Challenge die im letzten Jahr von Ralf Souquet mit einer 178er Serie gewonnen wurde. Für all diese Turniere bzw. Disziplinen gibt es Punkte, der Spieler mit den besten Platzierungen wird am Ende zum All Around Champion – „Master of Table“ gekürt. Shane Van Boening gewinnt als erster Spieler in der Geschichte der US Open 9 Ball diesen begehrten Titel dreimal hintereinander. Vom 13. – 18. Oktober 2014 findet die 39. Ausgabe der US Open 9 Ball Championships statt. Die US Open 9 Ball gelten in der Pool Billard Szene als das wohl prestigeträchtigste Turnier überhaupt. Neben den Weltmeisterschaften sind die US Open 9 Ball das wohl schwierigste Turnier der Welt. Sehr viele internationale Top-Spieler, immer etwas hektische Bedingungen und von der ersten Runde wird auf 11 Gewinnspiele gespielt, das Finale geht bis 13. Niels Feijen (NED) gewinnt Bergen Open 2014 im Finale gegen Ruslan Chinakhov (RUS) mit 9-5. Den 3. Platz belegen Francisco Bustamante (PHI) und Mark McGauley (GBR). Morgen beginnen in Bergen/Norwegen die Bergen Open 9-Ball 2014. In der zweitgrößten Stadt Norwegens findet wie in den letzten beiden Jahren ein recht Interessantes 9 Ball Turnier statt. Die Bergen Open (07. – 09. August 2014) sind ein Handicap Turnier, bei dem auch die weniger bekannten Spieler aufgrund einer Vorgabe immer eine Siegchance besitzen. Gespielt werden alle Partien auf 9 Gewinnspiele, wobei die maximal Vorgabe 5 Spiele beträgt. Das Besondere an diesem Turnier ist die Anwesenheit der beiden philippinischen Superstars Efren Reyes und Francisco Bustamante. Die beiden würden alleine schon für eine Menge Spektakel sorgen. Im sehr bekannten Billardsalon Kong Oscar werden aber noch mehr Hochkaräter am Start sein. Darren Appleton (GBR) gewinnt The ANDY CLOTH 74th World Tournament of 14.1 2014 im Finale gegen Shane Van Boening (USA) mit 200-27. Den 3. Platz belegen Max Eberle (USA) und Evgeny Stalev (RUS). Am nächsten Montag, den 04. August 2014 beginnt in New York/Queens das 74th World Tournament of 14.1 2014. Bereits zum 74. mal wird der beste 14.1 Spieler bei dieser inoffiziellen Weltmeisterschaft gesucht. Dieses 14.1 Turnier ist in den letzten Jahren ein ziemlich großer Erfolg. Leider gibt es immer weniger Turniere, bei denen heute noch 14.1 (Straight Pool) gespielt wird. Für viele ist diese Disziplin nach wie vor die Königsdisziplin und das komplexeste Spiel überhaupt. Titelverteidiger ist Thorsten Hohmann aus Deutschland, er gewann dieses Turnier im letzten Jahr bereits zum dritten mal. In der Zeit vom 18. – 25. Juli findet im Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas die CSI Invitational Championships 2014 statt. Eines der spannendsten Events des Jahres wird während der nationalen US Amateur Meisterschaft (2014 BCAPL National Championships) ausgetragen. Die BCAPL National Championships ist der perfekte Rahmen für 16 der besten Spieler der Welt. Es gibt bei den CSI Invitational Championships 2014 ein 8 Ball Turnier und ein 10 Ball Turnier. Die 16 Spieler spielen in vier Gruppen mit je vier Spielern im Round Robin System (Jeder gegen jeden/Race to 8) den Gewinner der Gruppe aus. Die ersten vier werden dann laut Veranstalter die Halbfinals und anschließend das Finale (Race to 11) spielen. Die Teilnehmer dieser sehr interessanten Veranstaltung sind für die Philippinen Efren Reyes, Francisco Bustamante, Warren Kiamco und Dennis Orcollo.
