Darren Appleton (GBR) gewinnt American 14.1 Straight Pool Championship 2015 im Finale gegen Thorsten Hohmann (GER) mit 150-94. Den 3. Platz belegen Mika Immonen (FIN) und Warren Kiamco (PHI). Kurz vor den US Open 9 Ball Championship 2015 machen einige der besten Pool Billard Spieler noch einen kurzen Stop in Midlothian/Virginia, um sich weitere Wettkampfpraxis für eines der größten Turniere der Welt zu holen. Die American 14.1 Straight Pool Championship 2015 sind die letzte Möglichkeit vom 22. – 25. Oktober 2015 an der Form zu arbeiten. Bereits im letzten Jahr war dieses Turnier sehr gut besucht. Doch in diesem Jahr ist der Termin auch für viele andere Pros aus der ganzen Welt ziemlich gut platziert. Darren Appleton (GBR) gewann 2014 das Finale gegen die Überraschungsfinalistin Karen Corr aus Irland. Sie hat im letzten Jahr vielen Topspielern das Fürchten gelehrt und zurecht das Finale erreicht. Dieses gewann Darren Appleton dann aber recht deutlich mit 150-28. Mike Dechaine (USA) gewinnt 1st Annual Gotham City Billiards 9 Ball Pro Classic 2015 im Finale gegen Warren Kiamco (PHI) mit 13-10. Den 3. Platz belegt Jason Klatt (CAN). Am nächsten Samstag fällt in Brooklyn/New York der Startschuss zu einer Reihe von hochkarätigen Pool Billard Turnieren in den USA. Den Anfang macht vom 17. – 19. Oktober das 1st Annual Gotham City Billiards 9 Ball Pro Classic 2015. Einen Titel hat dieses 9 Ball Turnier definitiv schon sicher, nämlich den des längsten Turniernamens 😉 Dieses Pool Billard Turnier im Herzen New Yorks ist mit 64 Teilnehmern hervorragend besetzt und viele Topstars aus den USA, Asien und Europa versuchen hier bereits eine gute Form für die weiteren Aufgaben zu bekommen. 24th August – 2015 World Cup of Pool Champs open defence with Ashes showdown Defending Champions England A will be getting their defence of the 2015 World Cup of Pool underway with a showdown against Ashes rivals Australia on the opening evening of the tournament. Taking place on the evening of Tuesday 22nd September at the famous York Hall in Bethnal Green, England’s Karl Boyes and Darren Appleton will be looking continue Australia’s dismal winless run in the competition. Other marquee matches in the opening round of the $250,000 pairs tournament include last year’s runners-up Holland against the well-supported Indian team and betting favourites the Philippines against the dangerous Russian duo. Das Turning Stone Classic ist in den letzten Jahren zu einem der attraktivsten Pool Billard Turniere in den USA gereift. Es gibt nicht viele US Pool Billard Turniere, die ein solches Teilnehmerfeld an den Start bringen. Gespielt wird wie in den letzten Jahren natürlich im Turning Stone Resort & Casino. 4th August – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Shane turns the screw but it’s wide open for remaining two spots Shane Van Boening remains the front runner in the 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Team USA ranking, but the race for the second and third spots on this year’s team for Las Vegas is hotting up. Van Boening sits top of the pile after the US Open 10-ball and US Open 8-ball tournaments. He has 72 points, twice as many as second-placed Corey Deuel and Skyler Woodward have amassed. With just Turning Stone and the US Open 9-ball to be played, Van Boening is a hot favourite to make Mark Wilson’s team but could still be displaced from the top three. Juli 2015 werden während der bereits laufenden nationalen US-Meisterschaft die US Open im 8 Ball und 10 Ball ausgetragen.
