Ralf Souquet gewinnt 8. Brunswick Gold Crown V Cup 2016 im Finale gegen Klaudio Kerec mit 9-8. Den 3. Platz belegen Sascha Hünerbein und Stephan Waldeck. Während am nächsten Wochenende im Norden Deutschlands die Beckmann/Longoni Open 2016 ausgetragen werden, wird im Westen ein kleines aber feines Pool Billard Turnier bereits zum achten Mal stattfinden. Der Brunswick Gold Crown V Cup in den Vereinsräumern des deutschen Traditionsvereins BC Alsdorf war in den letzten Jahren immer einen Besuch wert und viele Pool Billard Spieler der Extraklasse haben dort ihr Können gezeigt. Zu den Siegern der Vorjahre gehören Namen wie Thomas Engert, Stefan Nölle, Dominic Jentsch, Martin Steinlage, Klaudio Kerec oder der Gewinner des letzten Jahres Ivo Aarts aus den Niederlanden. Ivo Aarts gewann den Brunswick Gold Crown V Cup 2015 im Finale gegen Julian Kortüm mit 9-6 –> Brunswick Gold Crown V Cup 2015. Wu Jiaqing (CHN) gewinnt World 9 Ball China Open 2016 im Finale gegen Cheng Yu-Hsuan (TPE) mit 11-4. Den 3. Platz belegen Wu Kun-Lin (TPE) und Ko Pin-Yi (TPE). Bei den Damen gewinnt Yu Han (CHN) im Finale gegen Liu Shasha (CHN) mit 9-8. Den 3. Platz belegen Wang Xiao-Tong (CHN) und Chen Xue (CHN). Am kommenden Sonntag, den 21. August werden in Shanghai/China die World 9 Ball China Open 2016 eröffnet. Bis zum 28. August wird bei den China Open so ziemlich alles was Rang und Namen hat, in der weltweiten Pool Billard Szene, am Start sein. Dieses Turnier zählt zu den größten Herausforderungen eines jeden Pool Billard Spielers. Kaum ein Turnier ist weder bei Damen und Herren besser besetzt als dieses. Es gibt viele Spieler die der Meinung sind das die China Open einen höheren Stellenwert haben als eine Weltmeisterschaft. 10th August – 2016 Mosconi Cup Albin back in the reckoning ALBIN OUSCHAN saw his 2016 Mosconi Cup chances increase hugely when he was crowned WPA World 9 Ball champion in Qatar earlier this month. The title was a vindication of the young Austrian’s talent and resolve, as he followed up his silver medal in 2015 with gold. The win puts Ouschan on top of the European World points list after just one event. There are three more tournaments to go – China Open, US Open and the Kuwait Open – and Ouschan has got off to the best possible start in that ranking and will be looking to make the team and emulate his Mosconi Cup showing last year when he bagged the winning 9 ball. Jayson Shaw maintained his top spot in both the Combined list with a quarter-final finish in Qatar, while Mark Gray is well placed astride the European ranking. 06/08/2016 German wonderkid Filler knocks Immonen for eight Joshua Filler (GER), the German wonderkid, just defeated Mika Immonen (FIN) in the single elimination round of the last 32 players of the Dynamic Billard Albanian Open in Tirana, Albania, with 9:7. The result of the match is definitely a surprise but not yet the biggest story about the match. Also the pure fact that Filler won against Immonen in itself is not the biggest upset here. The major surprise of the match is the fact how Filler managed to triumph over Immonen. After eight racks played, Immonen was leading 7:1 (!) over Filler and just needed two more racks to waltz into the round of the last 16 players tomorrow. But then the match turned 180 degrees. Filler did not miss any more shots while Immonen started making mistakes. He scratched while playing a push-out, ran out of position and hooked himself up behind the wrong ball and left safety situations for Filler that the young German was able to run-out. Unmittelbar nach der 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft in Doha/Katar und der Jugend Europameisterschaft in Tirana/Albanien findet am Freitag, den 05. August 2016 der nächste Euro-Tour Stopp statt. Für die meisten der europäischen Pool Billard Elite sind diese Albanian Open 2016 mit einer Menge Stress verbunden. Am Donnerstag, den 04. August ist der Finaltag der 9 Ball WM und wir dürfen gespannt sein, welche Europäer zu dieser Zeit noch im Turnier sind und ob alle Flieger pünktlich nach Tirana unterwegs sein werden. As on Day 1, all 128 players saw action, but unlike the opening rounds, much more was at stake. All 32 losers-side matches in the group stage were do-or-die. All 32 winners-side matches offered the victor a massive sigh of relief, and a day off as they await the start of the single elimination knockout stage which begins on Tuesday. Albin Ouschan (AUT) gewinnt 2016 WPA World 9 Ball Championship im Finale gegen Shane Van Boening (USA) mit 13-6. Den 3. Platz belegen Alex Pagulayan (CAN) und Hsuan Yu-Cheng (TPE). Am nächsten Montag, den 25. Juli 2016 starten in Doha/Katar die WPA 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaften. Dieser Titel ist nach wie vor der wichtigste im Welt Pool Billard und für jeden Spieler die größte Herausforderung. Nicht nur das extrem starke Teilnehmerfeld, sondern auch die besonderen Umstände tragen dazu bei. Die hohen Außentemperaturen und der stark klimatisierte Spielort, der Al Arabi Sports Club, sind für viele Spieler kaum zu beherrschen. Im letzten Jahr gewann Ko Pin-Yi aus Taiwan diesen Titel im Finale gegen Shane Van Boening aus den USA. Im Finale 2015 wurde erneut deutlich das leider nicht immer der bessere Spieler gewinnt.
