Johann Chua (PHI) gewinnt 48th All Japan Championship 2015 im Finale gegen Ronnie Alcano (PHI) mit 11-7. Den 3. Platz belegen Shane Van Boening (USA) und Han Hao-Xiang (CHN). Bei den Damen gewinnt Ga Young Kim (KOR) im Finale gegen Chihiro Kawahara (JAP) mit 9-2. Den 3. Platz belegen Maki Kimura (JAP) und Makiko Takagi (JAP). In der nächsten Woche findet vom 09. – 15. November 2015 in Amagasaki City/Japan die 48. Ausgabe der All Japan Championship statt. Dieses Turnier hat eine sehr lange Tradition und zählt für viele Pool Billard Profis zu den Pflichtterminen eines jeden Jahres. In der sehr schönen Archaic Hall in Amagasaki City werden sowohl die Herren als auch die Damen, um den sehr prestigeträchtigen Titel kämpfen. Bei den Herren gewann im Vorjahr Raymond Faraon von den Philippinen dieses WPA World Ranking Event im Finale gegen Naoyuki Oi aus Japan mit 11-8 –> 47th All Japan Championship 2014. American 14.1 was held once again at Diamond Billiards, Midlothian, VA Oct 22-25 with a sterling field of many of the world’s strongest Straight Pool players. A total of 40 players began the opening two days Round Robin of 8 balanced flights of five players each, playing four matches with the top three of each flight advancing to the final two days Single Elimination. The first attached is result for the Round Robin with the 24 players advancing to the final two days Single Elim. listed in bold. As expected all 8 of the A seeded players advanced, along with 4 of the B players. This result was not unexpected as the flights were very balanced with many strong players in the BCDE tier. The elimination round was again seeded based on W-L and ball differential as shown on the 2nd attached. Four of the finest 14.1 players in the world advanced to the semi-final round. Oktober 2015 findet im Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel eines der Pool Billard Highlights des Jahres statt. Die US Open 9 Ball Championships sind jedes Jahr neben der 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft und den Matchroom Events, wie Mosconi Cup oder World Cup of Pool, die größte Herausforderung überhaupt. In den letzten Jahren waren die US Open immer sehr gut besucht, allerdings ist die diesjährige 40. Ausgabe der US Open so gut besetzt wie nie zuvor. Darren Appleton (GBR) gewinnt American 14.1 Straight Pool Championship 2015 im Finale gegen Thorsten Hohmann (GER) mit 150-94. Den 3. Platz belegen Mika Immonen (FIN) und Warren Kiamco (PHI). Kurz vor den US Open 9 Ball Championship 2015 machen einige der besten Pool Billard Spieler noch einen kurzen Stop in Midlothian/Virginia, um sich weitere Wettkampfpraxis für eines der größten Turniere der Welt zu holen. Die American 14.1 Straight Pool Championship 2015 sind die letzte Möglichkeit vom 22. – 25. Oktober 2015 an der Form zu arbeiten. Bereits im letzten Jahr war dieses Turnier sehr gut besucht. Doch in diesem Jahr ist der Termin auch für viele andere Pros aus der ganzen Welt ziemlich gut platziert. Darren Appleton (GBR) gewann 2014 das Finale gegen die Überraschungsfinalistin Karen Corr aus Irland. Sie hat im letzten Jahr vielen Topspielern das Fürchten gelehrt und zurecht das Finale erreicht. Am nächsten Samstag fällt in Brooklyn/New York der Startschuss zu einer Reihe von hochkarätigen Pool Billard Turnieren in den USA. Den Anfang macht vom 17. – 19. Oktober das 1st Annual Gotham City Billiards 9 Ball Pro Classic 2015.
