Denis Grabe (EST) gewinnt Slovenian Open 2014 im Finale gegen Marc Bijsterbosch (NED) mit 9-4. Den 3. Platz teilen sich Mats Schjetne (NOR) und Marcus Chamat (SWE). Der nächste Euro-Tour Stop 2014 findet direkt nach den Europameisterschaften der Jugendlichen und Senioren in Portoroz/Slowenien statt. In der Zeit vom 21. – 23. August 2014 trifft sich in Portoroz bei den Slovenian Open 2014 mal wieder annähernd die Gesamte europäischen Pool Billard Elite. Die letzte Euro-Tour Veranstaltung im Mai fand in Österreich statt und die Austria Open 2014 gewann Denis Grabe (EST) im Finale gegen Nikos Ekonomopoulos (GRE) mit 9-1. Natürlich ist auch diese Euro-Tour teil des Mosconi Cup Rankings 2014. Für dieses Ranking des beliebtesten Pool Billard Events des Jahres werden Punkte verteilt und die ersten drei werden direkt nominiert für das Team Europa Anfang Dezember. Wirsbitzki over Correia in seniors straight pool The Dynamic European Championships – Youth, Seniors & Ladies Portoroz, Slovenia – 1-16 aug 2014 12/08/2014 Reiner Wirsbitzki from Germany is the new European Champion in straight pool seniors division. He defeated Henrique Correia (POR) with 100: 50 in the final match. The final match was a one man show by Wirsbitzki. He had the better start and ran away with over 50 points after the first five innings. He never left a shot for Correia and took a comfortable 53:1 lead over the Portuguese. That gap proved to be too big for Correia to close. Correia was also not very lucky. When he tried to launch a comeback on Wirsbitzki, the cue ball scratched in the side pocket. Altogether, the clear victory for Wirsbitzki is very much deserved and displays his solid performance throughout the whole competition. Dynamic Billard European Youth Championships ended The Dynamic European Championships – Youth, Seniors & Ladies Portoroz, Slovenia – 1-16 aug 2014 08/08/2014 The 2014 Dynamic Billard European Championships Youth have come to an end. Today, two more disciplines were decided. Earlier today, the 9-ball individuals were finished. Kamila Khodjaeva (BEL), Sanjin Pehlivanovic (BIH) and Raphael Wahl (GER) took the crown in the 9-ball. It was the second Gold Medal for Khodjaeva and Wahl this week. Khodjaeva defeated Marharyta Fefilava (BLR) in the final match with 6:3. The Silver Medal is a great achievement for the young lady from Belarus. However, Khodjaeva was too strong for her today. Filler, Dudanets and Khodjaeva win the 10-ball competition The Dynamic European Championships – Youth, Seniors & Ladies Portoroz, Slovenia – 1-16 aug 2014 04/08/2014 Three more Gold Medals have been awarded at the Dynamic Billard European Championships Youth in Hotel Bernadin in Portoroz, Slovenia. In the Under 17’s, Maksim Dudanets (RUS) defeated Eklent Kaci (ALB) in the final with 6:3. Kaci had been a serious outsider. But nevertheless he had earned his place in this final against Dudanets. Victories over Jan van Lierop (NED) with 6:3,  Marsel Safiullin (RUS) with 6:4 and young Kestutis Zadeikis (LIT) with 6:1 paved his way into the final match. His opponent however was the clear favorite. Dudanets ousted Patrick Hofmann (GER) 6:0, Konrad Kleinszmit (POL) 6:3 and Wiktor Zielinski (POL) with 6:5 on his way to the championship match. Filler and Maciol grab the Gold Medals The Dynamic European Championships – Youth, Seniors & Ladies Portoroz, Slovenia – 1-16 aug 2014 02/08/2014 The first medals have been awarded at the 2014 Dynamic Billard European Youth Championships in Portoroz, Slovenia. Joshua Filler (GER) won the juniors division while Daniel Maciol (POL) took the title in the pupils division. Filler has been one of the favorite players in the event. Being the defending champion in the pupils, he played his first year in the juniors division since he has reached the age limit. But also in the juniors, no one was able to stop Filler. He eliminated Tian Zhang (SWE) in the semi-final with 100:67 and won the final match over Spasian Spasov (BUL) with 100:47. Spasov, who overcame Daniel Tangudd (SWE) in the semi-final, was the underdog in the final. He fought his way through the chart and the second place is definitely a huge success for the Bulgarian. High quality matches in juniors and pupils straight pool on day 1 The Dynamic European Championships – Youth, Seniors & Ladies Portoroz, Slovenia – 1-16 aug 2014 01/08/2014 In the juniors division, last year’s most successful player Joshua Filler (GER) played for the first time just coming out of the pupils. His play was as strong as it used to be. The young German who also participates in the men’s Euro-Tour at times won all his matches today with clear results. He defeated Patryk Statkiewicz (POL) 100:28, Andreas Madsen (DEN) 100:47, Klemen Gradisnik (SLO) 100:44 and in the quarter-final match Pawel Kaczmarek (POL) 100:26 even. He will meet Tian Zhang (SWE) in tomorrow’s semi-final at 17:30 CET. Zhang surprisingly ousted Raphael Wahl (GER) in his quarter-final match with 100:82. The second semi-final will be played between Spasian Spasov (BUL) and Daniel Tangudd (SWE). In that match, Tangudd definitely is the player who could be regarded as the favorite. Kozoom is covering the World 9-Ball Championships

The Qatari Billiards & Snooker Federation „QBSF“ have signed up Kozoom Productions to produce the live stream at this years 9-ball world championships in Qatar. Kozoom Productiions, probably the leading producer of billiards via the internet, are currently building the web page that will show all 14 tables live throughout the entire event. Kozoom Productions are also supplying the live scoring system to keep every pool fan on their toes with instant scoring on all matches, starting with the qualifiers on the 16th of June. With the finals scheduled for the 27th of June and only one day break between stage 1 & 2, means a complete 11 days of fantastic action coming your way. Monica Webb takes the title in the women’s Euro-Tour

Monica Webb takes the title in the women’s Euro-Tour Monica Webb (USA) just won the Dynamic Billard Austrian Open Women Euro-Tour event in beautiful St. Johann/Pg., Austria, with a convincing 7:3 victory over favored hometown hero Jasmin Ouschan (AUT). It has been Webb’s tournament from the very beginning. She played great throughout the whole event. Results like 7:4 over #2 ranked player Ana Mazhirina (RUS), 7:3 over #5 ranked Ina Kaplan (GER), 7:2 over multiple European and World Champion Oliwia Czuprynska (POL) and 7:3 against another multiple European and World Champion Jasmin Ouschan in the final demonstrated her domination in this event. Although being handicapped with a foot in plaster she performed better than ever in Europe. „I felt great in this event“, stated Webb after the match. „I have practiced a lot during the last months and I think it is paying off now“. When asked about her plans for the future, she answered with a smile: „I will definitely continue playing the Euro-Tour“. Jasmin Ouschan’s way into the final was also quite impressive. […]
