Kick off Longoni Benelux Open, tomorrow Dear pool friends, The 2014 Longoni Benelux Open kicks off, tomorrow, on my 45th birthday. I couldn’t find any other suitable date in the international calendar. Ah well, two celebrations are in order, then. Friday August 15th (qualification rounds*) 11.00 am Group B | 3.00 pm Group C | 7.00 pm Group D Saturday August 16th (qualification rounds*) 11.00 am Group E | 3.00 pm Group F | 7.00 pm Group G Sunday August 17th 9.00 am Final 32 and onwards, to the final IMPORTANT! Check in with the tournament organisation, ((( at least 30 minutes ))) prior to the start of your qualification group. Otherwise you will NOT be taken up in the draw. The game is 10ball, alternate break, with Magic Ball Rack PRO, race to 6 in the qualification rounds and race to 8 on Sunday. 2014 World Cup of Pool Schedule 12 August – 2014 World Cup of Pool Match Schedule Announced WITH THE 2014 World Cup of Pool set for the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth from 23rd to 28th September, promoters Matchroom Sport can announce the schedule of matches for this prestigious $250,000 event. There are 16 first round matches in total with two sessions a day and three matches per session. Sessions are at 12 noon and 6.00pm until the weekend when the afternoon session takes place at 1.00pm, while the evenings continue at 6.00pm. Defending champions the Philippines – Dennis Orcollo and Lee Vann Corteza – are in action on the opening night when they face the best of South America in their quest for a fourth World Cup title. 2012 champions Finland, represented by Mika Immonen and Petri Makkonen, are also in action on the Tuesday night when they square off against Korea. Niels Feijen (NED) gewinnt 2014 LONGONI Benelux Open im Finale gegen Daryl Peach (GBR) mit 8-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Lars Kuckherm (GER) und Andreas Roschkowsky (GER). In einigen Tagen findet vom 15. – 17. August 2014 in Rotterdam die 6. Ausgabe der LONGONI Benelux Open statt. Die 2014 LONGONI Benelux Open sind wie jedes Jahr eines der am besten organisierten und vor allem promoteten Pool Billard Turniere auf dem europäischen Kontinent. Bereits viele Monate vorher ist der Veranstalter Cakti Aswan und sein Hauptsponsor Longoni sehr bemüht, dieses Turnier zu bewerben. Und wie bereits in den letzten Jahren folgen sehr viele internationale Topstars der Szene dieser Aufforderung bei den LONGONI Benelux Open anzutreten. Das 10 Ball Event hat bereits jetzt mehr als 110 Meldungen und das 128er Teilnehmerfeld ist so gut wie ausgebucht. Double Dutch Lead Race to Blackpool 30th June, 2014 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup FOLLOWING HIS string of magnificent performances in capturing the WPA World 9 Ball Championship in Doha, Holland’s Niels Feijen has put himself in prime position to make his tenth appearance in the PartyPoker Mosconi Cup this December. Niels Feijen (NED) gewinnt 2014 WPA World 9 Ball Championship im Finale gegen Albin Ouschan (AUT) mit 13-10 und sichert sich den begehrtesten Pool Billard Titel der Welt. Den 3. Platz belegen Elmer D. Haya (PHI) und China Open 2014 Champion Chang Yu-Lung (TPE). Ab dem 16. Juni 2014 findet in Doha/Katar die 2014 WPA World 9 Ball Championship statt. Die 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft der Herren gilt zusammen mit den China Open als eines der interessantesten und spannendsten Pool Billard Events im ganzen Jahr. Bis zum 27. Juni werden im Al Saad Sports Club in Doha die besten Pool Spieler aus der ganzen Welt um den wohl begehrtesten Titel der Szene kämpfen. Euro Race for Spots Hotting Up 10th June, 2014 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup WITH FOUR EVENTS now completed, the race to claim the three automatic berths on the 2014 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup European side is well underway. This year, there are three separate ranking lists in operation – the first comprised of a five event Euro Tour series; the second a three event ‘World’ series and the last a combined ranking of the two. Der Ardennen Cup 2014 findet wie jedes Jahr über Pfingsten statt. In der Zeit vom 05. – 09. Juni 2014 wird in Ettelbrück/Luxemburg eines der größten europäischen Turniere stattfinden. Wie immer wird den mehr als 300 Teilnehmern eine Menge geboten. Es gibt das große Hauptevent der Herren, eine Damenkonkurrenz, die zeitgleich der nächste Euro-Tour Stop ist, einen Teamwettbewerb und das Jugendturnier. Das Gesamtpreisgeld aller Veranstaltungen beträgt ca. 20.000 Euro. Der Ardennen Cup ist jedes Jahr beliebter Zielort vieler Pool Billard Freunde und diverser Topspieler. Underdog Denis Grabe wins Dynamic Billard Austrian Open Denis Grabe from Estonia just won the Dynamic Billard Austrian Open 2014 with a clear 9:1 defeat over Nikos Ekonomopoulos (GRE) in the final match. Ekonomopoulos had to deal with #1 ranked player in the semi-final, Nick van den Berg (NED). He played really strong and did not allow van den Berg to find his game even though it was van den Berg’s birthday today. To the contrary, the balls really rolled in Ekonomopoulos’ favor and the end result of 9:2 in favor of Ekonomopoulos showed how clear his victory was today. Denis Grabe had tougher work ahead. In the second semi-final, he was already trailing 7:8 to #2 ranked player Niels Feijen (NED) when the Dutch missed a shot.
