Derby City Classic 2015

Wenn man in diesen Tagen die Pool Billard Fans nach einer Veranstaltung mit dem höchsten Unterhaltungswert fragt, werden die meisten das Derby City Classic nennen. Diese Pool Billard Veranstaltung findet zum 17. mal statt und wird auch dieses Jahr wieder für spektakuläre Pool Billard Unterhaltung sorgen. In der Zeit vom 23. – 31. Januar 2015 wird das Derby City Classic wie bereits in den Jahren zuvor im Horseshoe Casino in Elizabeth, Indiana/USA ausgetragen. In diesen 9 Tagen geht es beim DCC nur um eines, nämlich um Pool Billard Action auf höchstem Niveau. Es gibt zig Events, einige davon sind One Pocket, 9 Ball Bank, 9 Ball und die Straight Pool Challenge die im letzten Jahr von Ralf Souquet mit einer 178er Serie gewonnen wurde. Für all diese Turniere bzw. Disziplinen gibt es Punkte, der Spieler mit den besten Platzierungen wird am Ende zum All Around Champion – „Master of Table“ gekürt. CueSports International, Henderson, Nevada (December 9, 2014) – CSI is pleased to announce that the 2014 CSI Invitational 10-Ball Championship matches have been released on the CSI YouTube channel. Sixteen (16) matches featuring some of the best players in the world, all filmed in the Predator Arena, can be viewed in their entirety absolutely free! The format consisted of four groups of four players each competing in a round robin format. Each group contained one player from each region – North America, Europe, Philippines, and Taiwan. The top finisher from each group moved into a single elimination finals bracket. Nick van den Berg (NED) gewinnt Treviso Open 2014 im Finale gegen Niels Feijen (NED) mit 9-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Francisco Sanchez-Ruiz (ESP) und Kevin Becker (GER). Der letzte Euro-Tour Stop des Jahres findet in dieser Woche vom 11. – 13. Dezember 2014 statt. Das BHR Hotel in Treviso war in den letzten 12 Monaten öfters Austragungsort einer Euro-Tour. Die letzte Auflage der Treviso Open im Jahre 2013 gewann Nick van den Berg (NED) im Finale gegen Phil Burford (GBR) mit 8-5. Auch bei den Treviso Open 2014 zählt der im Euro-Tour Ranking führende Nick van den Berg zu den ganz heißen Favoriten auf den Sieg in der nähe von Venedig. Bei den Treviso Open 2014 sind bislang mehr als 140 Teilnehmer aus ganz Europa gemeldet. Shane Van Boening (USA) gewinnt US Open 9 Ball Championships 2014 im Finale gegen Dennis Orcollo (PHI) mit 13-10. Den 3. Platz belegt Nikos Ekonomopoulos (GRE). Shane Van Boening gewinnt als erster Spieler in der Geschichte der US Open 9 Ball diesen begehrten Titel dreimal hintereinander. Vom 13. – 18. Oktober 2014 findet die 39. Ausgabe der US Open 9 Ball Championships statt. Die US Open 9 Ball gelten in der Pool Billard Szene als das wohl prestigeträchtigste Turnier überhaupt. Neben den Weltmeisterschaften sind die US Open 9 Ball das wohl schwierigste Turnier der Welt. Sehr viele internationale Top-Spieler, immer etwas hektische Bedingungen und von der ersten Runde wird auf 11 Gewinnspiele gespielt, das Finale geht bis 13. The Dynamic Eurotour – Dutch Open – 1-4 oct 2014 03/10/2014 Alexander Kazakis (GRE) got the better of Karl Boyes (GBR), ousting the Brit with 9:8 from the Dynamic Billard Dutch Open Euro-Tour event in Leende, The Netherlands. Kazakis got drawn into the round of the last 32 players since he lost in the winner’s qualification round to his friend and teammate Nikos Ekonomopoulos (GRE) with 6:9. However, Boyes was the seeded player who came undefeated through the loser’s round. He surely was the favored player in this match. But having in mind the high level and widely spread quality of the Euro-Tour players, nothing can be taken for granted these days. Kazakis has earned his merits in the past and is known to be a fighter. And the match turned out to be a tough fight. Both players did not give anything away for free. Mark Gray (GBR) gewinnt Dutch Open 2014 im Finale gegen Nikos Ekonomopoulos (GRE) mit 9-6. Den 3. Platz belegen Mario He (AUT) und Alexander Kazakis (GRE). In der Zeit vom 01. – 04. Oktober 2014 finden in Leende bei Eindhoven die Dutch Open 2014 statt. Einen Tag früher als gewohnt beginnt dieser Euro-Tour Stop bereits an einem Mittwoch. Es stehen im Hotel Golden Tulip Jagershorst lediglich elf Pool Billard Tische zur Verfügung, das zwingt die EPBF (European Pocket Billiard Federation) dazu einen Tag früher mit den ersten Runden zu beginnen. Dieser Euro-Tour Stop hat bereits jetzt mehr als 150 Teilnehmer und den größten Anteil mit knapp 30 Spielern stellen natürlich die Niederländer um 9 Ball Weltmeister Niels Feijen und dem führenden im Euro-Tour Ranking Nick van den Berg. 2014 Betway World Cup of Pool – England and Holland complete semis line up 27 September Quarter-Finals Holland 9-7 Germany England A 9-7 USA THERE IS certain to be a European winner of the ninth annual Betway World Cup of Pool as England A – Darren Appleton and Karl Boyes – put paid to Team USA in a tense quarter-final encounter at the Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth. The momentum ebbed and flowed as the English duo coasted into a 7-2 lead as the American pairing of Earl Strickland and Shane Van Boening looked patchy as they struggled to find a rhythm.
