23rd June – 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters Draw and Schedule Announced WITH THE 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters set for the iconic Victoria Warehouse from 14th to 16th August, the draw has been made and schedule set for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend of world-class pool. Featuring 16 players from 14 nations, the field is headed up by defending champion and No.1 seed Shane Van Boening (USA) who gets his defence underway against the dangerous Canadian John Morra. The second match on the Friday evening features 2013 champion Niels Feijen against the No.1 player on the South American rankings following their continental championships next month. The final Friday night match sees Mosconi Cup hero Karl Boyes face China’s World No. 6 Liu Haitao. 21th April – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup FOLLOWING THE Super Billiards Expo 10 Ball Championship which concluded at the weekend, Shane Van Boening maintained his lead at the top of the 2015 PartyPoker USA Mosconi Cup ranking. Van Boening was the highest placed American, finishing in fourth spot and has now opened up a 23 point lead over his nearest rival, Justin Bergman who kept his second spot with a 17th place finish. Scott Frost, who has yet to compete in a Mosconi Cup, edged his way into the shake-up as he leap-frogged both Jeremy Sossei and Skyler Woodward to claim a tie for second. The event was won by Dennis Orcollo who beat Scotland$B!G(Js Jayson Shaw in a close run final. Shaw$B!G(Js high finish is another result which boosts his chances of a Team Europe wild card when both teams are finalised in October. Super Billiards Expo in Oaks, in der nähe von Philadelphia/USA, lockt jedes Jahr Tausende von Besuchern in das Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. Die Super Billiards Expo ist die wohl größte Billardmesse auf der Welt und es wird den Zuschauern eine Menge geboten. Andreas Björndal (SWE) gewinnt Interpool Open 2015 im Finale gegen Marcus Chamat (SWE) mit 11-6. Den 3. Platz belegen Casper Matikainen (FIN) und Andreas Gerwen (SWE). Am Donnerstag, den 02. April 2015 beginnen in Gävle/Schweden die Interpool Open 2015. Dieses Pool Billard Turnier ist mittlerweile fester Bestandteil im europäischen Pool Billard Turnierkalender und ist von Jahr zu Jahr besser besucht. Bis zum 05. April 2015 werden bei diesem Handicap-Turnier viele skandinavische Spieler zusammen mit einigen absoluten Topstars der Szene um das Gesamtpreisgeld von 10.000 Euro spielen. Neben der Hauptveranstaltung, 9 Ball mit Handicap, gibt es noch die Special Events Pro/Am, Shoot-Out und die 10 Ball Challenge für die stärksten Spieler im Interpool. Auch ein Damenfeld wird in diesem Jahr ausgetragen und auch hier ist das Starterfeld sehr gut besucht. März 2015 die Andy Cloth Wyoming Open statt. Die 8. Ausgabe der Wyoming Open ist auch in diesem Jahr mit mehr als 150 Pool Billard Spielern fast ausgebucht. Die Wyoming Open sind ein Bar-Table Event und werden auf den in den USA sehr beliebten 7 Fuß Tischen ausgetragen. 3rd March, 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Shane takes the early lead SHANE VAN BOENING, looking to make his ninth appearance in the PartyPoker USA Mosconi Cup, is the early leader in the nine tournament qualification series for the three automatic spots. So far, four events have been played and Van Boening carries a 12 point lead over second placed Justin Bergman, following a strong showing at the recent USBTC in Reno, which included winning the 9 ball division. The third automatic spot is currently occupied by Jeremy Sossei on 26 points, with Skyler Woodward and Scott Frost both snapping at his heels on 25 points. Players who finish in the top 32 in the qualifying events will receive ranking points and there are three categories of tournaments with differing amounts of points awarded accordingly.
