Ko Pin-Yi (TPE) gewinnt 2015 WPA World 10 Ball Championship im Finale gegen Carlo Biado (PHI) mit 11-9. Den 3. Platz belegen David Alcaide (SPA) und Ko Ping-Chung (TPE). Bereits seit dem 15. Februar 2015 findet in General Santos City auf den Philippinen die 2015 WPA World 10 Ball Championship statt. Diese Pool Billard Weltmeisterschaft bekommt leider in diesem Jahr nicht die Aufmerksamkeit, die sie eigentlich verdient. Wir haben mittlerweile mehr als 150 Emails mit Fragen zu dieser WM bekommen und leider ist die Antwort bislang immer die gleiche gewesen: „Wir haben leider so gut wie keine Informationen seitens der WPA oder des Veranstalters bekommen!“ Das ist wirklich mehr als traurig und wird einer solchen Veranstaltung nicht gerecht. Es gab keine Teilnehmerlisten, es gibt keine offizielle Website, kein Plakat oder irgendwelche Randnotizen. Nun, das zeigt erneut, wie es um die „Top-Events“ in dieser Welt oft bestellt ist. 13th February – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup USA Team Ranking – Super Billiards Expo is a points event MATCHROOM SPORT can announce that the Open 10-Ball Pro Players Championship at the annual Super Billiards Expo will be included in the ranking list for Team USA selection for the 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup. Taking place from April 16-19 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Centre at Oaks, Pennsylvania, the Players Championship was inaugurated in 2002. Since then, the event has enjoyed a stellar list of champions including Shane Van Boening who has won five times in the past seven years. In der Zeit vom 16. – 22. Februar 2015 findet in Reno/Nevada die 22. Auflage der US Bar Championships statt. Dieses Pool Billard Turnier ist in den USA eines der beliebtesten und zählt seit vielen Jahren zu den Highlights in den Staaten. Im Grand Sierra Resort & Casino werden drei Turniere innerhalb von einer Woche ausgetragen. Die Location zählt zum Besten, was man finden kann und auch die Organisation von CueSports International ist jedes Jahr aufs Neue vorbildlich. Diese Meisterschaften auf den kleinen Pool Billard Tischen (7 Fuß) haben in den USA eine lange Tradition und versprechen wie im letzten Jahr spannende und faszinierende Spiele. Die Tische werden von der Firma Diamond gestellt und unterscheiden sich von einem normalen 9 Fuß Turniertisch nur in ihrer Größe. CSI Invitational 8-Ball Championship Matches Released on YouTube

CueSports International, Henderson, Nevada (January 27, 2015) – CSI is pleased to announce that the 2014 CSI Invitational 8-Ball Championship matches have been released on the CSI YouTube channel. Fifteen (15) matches featuring some of the best players in the world, all filmed in the Predator Arena, can be viewed in their entirety absolutely free! The format consisted of four groups of four players each competing in a round robin format. Each group contained one player from each region – North America, Europe, Philippines, and Taiwan. Derby City Classic 2015

Wenn man in diesen Tagen die Pool Billard Fans nach einer Veranstaltung mit dem höchsten Unterhaltungswert fragt, werden die meisten das Derby City Classic nennen. Diese Pool Billard Veranstaltung findet zum 17. mal statt und wird auch dieses Jahr wieder für spektakuläre Pool Billard Unterhaltung sorgen. In der Zeit vom 23. – 31. Januar 2015 wird das Derby City Classic wie bereits in den Jahren zuvor im Horseshoe Casino in Elizabeth, Indiana/USA ausgetragen. In diesen 9 Tagen geht es beim DCC nur um eines, nämlich um Pool Billard Action auf höchstem Niveau. Es gibt zig Events, einige davon sind One Pocket, 9 Ball Bank, 9 Ball und die Straight Pool Challenge die im letzten Jahr von Ralf Souquet mit einer 178er Serie gewonnen wurde. 4th December – 2014 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Europe storm to another MC victory EUROPE 11-5 USA Darren Appleton 5-2 Shane Van Boening Nikos Ekonomopoulos 5-2 Shane Van Boening TEAM EUROPE won the 2014 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup, beating the USA 11-5 in front of a boisterous crowd at the Tower Circus, Blackpool. The score line was their joint second best winning margin and leaves the Americans with some soul-searching to do as they attempt to get back into competitive shape for the annual transatlantic 9 ball showdown. Leading 9-5 going into the final session, the Europeans wanted just two points for the glory and two matches were all that were needed as first Darren Appleton beat Shane Van Boening 5-2 and then Nikos Ekonomopoulos did the same by a similar score to seal a one-sided victory for Europe. The US though, topped and tailed the session with wins but looked slack in the middle as the Euros asserted themselves with three wins.
