Europe Announces Atlantic Challenge Cup Team To Face America

In Luxemburg bei der EM Ende März wurde nicht nur sehr gutes Pool Billard gespielt, es wurden auch sehr interessante Kontakte geknüpft. Ich hatte das Glück das mir der US Amerikaner Jerry Forsyth über den Weg gelaufen ist und man uns kurz miteinander bekannt gemacht hat, danke dafür an Thomas Overbeck (EPBF Press Officer & Tournament Leader). Vielen wird der Name Jerry Forsyth nicht so geläufig sein, nun… er ist die amerikanische Stimme des Pool Billards. Er kommentiert zumeist den Mosconi Cup und die Weltmeisterschaften auf der ganzen Welt, sowie viele viele andere Events in den USA. Er begann Anfang der 80er Jahre als Pool Billard Journalist und einige Jahre später kam der Einstieg beim britischen Sender Sky um seine Karriere als Kommentator zu starten. Als großer Fan seiner Art zu kommentieren ist es natürlich ein Glück Ihn mit einigen Fragen auf den Zahn zu fühlen. 06/08/2016 German wonderkid Filler knocks Immonen for eight Joshua Filler (GER), the German wonderkid, just defeated Mika Immonen (FIN) in the single elimination round of the last 32 players of the Dynamic Billard Albanian Open in Tirana, Albania, with 9:7. The result of the match is definitely a surprise but not yet the biggest story about the match. Also the pure fact that Filler won against Immonen in itself is not the biggest upset here. The major surprise of the match is the fact how Filler managed to triumph over Immonen. After eight racks played, Immonen was leading 7:1 (!) over Filler and just needed two more racks to waltz into the round of the last 16 players tomorrow. But then the match turned 180 degrees. Filler did not miss any more shots while Immonen started making mistakes. He scratched while playing a push-out, ran out of position and hooked himself up behind the wrong ball and left safety situations for Filler that the young German was able to run-out. 28/02/2016 Jasmin Ouschan conquers another title for her collection Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) just won the Dynamic Billard Italian Open for Women in Treviso, Italy, with an easy 7:1 victory over Christine Wiechert (GER). It was Wiechert’s first appearance in a Euro-Tour final and she has had already several tough matches behind her so she seemed to be a bit tired and worn out already. Her opponent was completely the opposite. Ouschan is used to final matches and TV settings and long final days so she was very much on top of her game. That constellation was proven to be true during the final match. Wiechert seems to be out of power. Trailing 0:2 to strong Ouschan, she even missed an easy 9-ball. That was probably a crucial point in the match. From then on, the mistakes accumulated and Wiechert could not find any remedy against her strong opponent.
