Team Europa gewinnt Atlantic Challenge Cup 2015 gegen Team USA mit 11-9. Vom 01. – 04. Juli 2015 findet in Rankweil/Österreich die erste Ausgabe des Atlantic Challenge Cup 2015 statt. Das große Vorbild dieser Veranstaltung ist der von Matchroom Sport organisierte Mosconi Cup. Der Mosconi Cup gehört zu den Top Pool Billard Veranstaltungen des Jahres und überzeugt durch sein Format, die Stimmung und den Kampf zwischen den USA und Europa. Der Atlantic Challenge Cup 2015 ist ein Team Pool Billard Event, an dem die besten Junioren aus den USA und einige der besten Junioren aus Europa teilnehmen werden. Die Teams der USA und Europas bestehen jeweils aus 6 Spielern. Für die USA werden bei diesem Pool Billard Vergleichskampf Tyler Brandom, Nick Evans, Joshua Franklin, Drake Niepoetter, Taylor Hansen und April Larson an den Start gehen. Sicherlich sind die Namen dieser Auswahl den meisten relativ unbekannt. 27th April – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Chamat enters fray as race hots up MARCUS CHAMAT, who was recently named as captain of the 2015 European PartyPoker Mosconi Cup team is on course to land one of the three automatic spots following a runners-up spot in the recent Portuguese Open on the Euro Tour. The 39 year-old Swede was beaten by Poland’s Mateusz Sniegocki in the championship match, but the 16 pts earned coupled with his existing points tally, move him to a tie for first in the Combined Ranking along with David Alcaide (Spain) and Holland’s Niels Feijen. There are three separate ranking lists in operation – the first comprised of a five event Euro Tour series; the second a four event ‘World’ series and the last a combined ranking of the two. 26th March, 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Tickets on sale from Thursday 26th March FOLLOWING A SELL-OUT event last year, tickets for the 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup will be on sale from Thursday 26th March. Taking place from Monday December 7 to Thursday December 10, the Europe v USA showdown is hosted for the first time at The New Tropicana Las Vegas. The defending champions are Team Europe who won their fifth consecutive title in Blackpool, England in December 2014. Now making its seventh appearance in Las Vegas, the Mosconi Cup is pool’s biggest brand and it features two five-man teams competing in a series of singles and doubles matches over the four days. 3rd March, 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Shane takes the early lead SHANE VAN BOENING, looking to make his ninth appearance in the PartyPoker USA Mosconi Cup, is the early leader in the nine tournament qualification series for the three automatic spots. So far, four events have been played and Van Boening carries a 12 point lead over second placed Justin Bergman, following a strong showing at the recent USBTC in Reno, which included winning the 9 ball division. The third automatic spot is currently occupied by Jeremy Sossei on 26 points, with Skyler Woodward and Scott Frost both snapping at his heels on 25 points. Players who finish in the top 32 in the qualifying events will receive ranking points and there are three categories of tournaments with differing amounts of points awarded accordingly. The next event in the series is the Super Billiards Expo which takes place from 16-19 April in Oaks, outside of Philadelphia. This is a Category2 event. 2nd March, 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Front Runners set out their stalls THE RACE FOR the three automatic spots on 2015 European PartyPoker Mosconi Cup team is well underway with two events on the nine event series having recently completed. Like last year, there are three separate ranking lists in operation – the first comprised of a five event Euro Tour series; the second a four event ‘World’ series and the last a combined ranking of the two. 13th February – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup USA Team Ranking – Super Billiards Expo is a points event MATCHROOM SPORT can announce that the Open 10-Ball Pro Players Championship at the annual Super Billiards Expo will be included in the ranking list for Team USA selection for the 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup. Taking place from April 16-19 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Centre at Oaks, Pennsylvania, the Players Championship was inaugurated in 2002. Team Europa gewinnt den Mosconi Cup XXI gegen Team USA deutlich mit 11-5. MVP der Veranstaltung wurde der amtierende 9 Ball Weltmeister Niels Feijen aus den Niederlanden. Wie jedes Jahr ist ende November bis anfang Dezember für die meisten Pool Billard Fans auf der ganzen Welt ein besonderer Zeitraum. Vom 01. – 04. Dezember 2014 findet in Blackpool/UK der diesjährige Mosconi Cup statt.
